hearing loss resulting from noise exposure in textile workers

چکیده
measurement and analysis of noise level in various frequency bands was carried out in a textile factory. it was shown that the noise level in various working places, particularly in the weaving workshop, was quite excessive comparing to the standards and so, it may very likely result in producing hearing loss in the workers. to determine the hearing loss of the workers due to excessive noise, 136 weavers were randomly selected and examined. however, the number of samples was not large enough to give reliable results. it was concluded that the intensive noise level in the weaving workshops may have produced considerable hearing loss in the workers. large the exposure to noise, more the hearing loss was observed.

Hearing loss after noise exposure.
The higher field strength magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) such as 3 Tesla (T) and above generates noise that has potential detrimental effects on the hearing. Temporary threshold shifts following MRI examination have been reported for MRI with lower field strength. Such effect, however, have not been reported so far for a 3T MRI. We report a case that exemplifies the possible detrimental effec...
متن کاملOccupational noise induced hearing loss in coal miners and coal washing factory workers in Kerman province
Introduction: The occupational noise induced hearing loss is one of the wide spread problems and a long term complication of working in noisy environments. At the present, large groups of workers who are working in noisy environments are exposed to hearing loss. So, this study is aimed to determine the prevalence of hearing loss (more than, 25 dB) of the workers in coal mines and leaching fac...

Introduction: Occupational noise exposure induced hearing loss is recognized as one of the most harmful factors in industries. Hearing loss is one of the 10 top works–related diseases. This study is to determine the existence of noise pollution in the workplace and probability of its hearing injury among exposed workers in Sarkhoon refinery in 2008, Bandar Abbas, Iran Methods: In this cr...
متن کاملEffects of Co-Exposure to Noise and JP-4 Jet Fuel on Hearing Loss in Rats
Background and Aim: Autotoxic substances such as JP-4 jet fuel can have negative effects on the auditory system by the various means such as cochlear dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to investigate the combined effects of exposure to JP-4 jet fuel and noise on hearing loss in rats, to determine the possible interference effects of these two risk factors on rat auditory system. Methods...

OBJECTIVE To determine the prevalence of hearing loss associated with occupational noise exposure and other risk factors. DESIGN A cross-sectional study involving 269 exposed and 99 non-exposed subjects (non-industrial noise exposed subjects) randomly selected. Current noise exposure was estimated using both sound level meter and noise-dosimeter. Past noise exposure was estimated by interview...
متن کاملWorking in noise with a hearing loss: perceptions from workers, supervisors, and hearing conservation program managers.
OBJECTIVE Workers with hearing loss face special problems, especially when working in noise. However, conventional hearing conservation practices do not distinguish between workers with normal hearing versus impaired hearing. This study collected information from workers with self-reported noise exposure and hearing loss, supervisors of such workers, and hearing conservation program managers th...
